Our teachers, support staff and governors play a huge part in our community here at Penrice. Each and every one of them helps in daily support, encouragement, teaching and development of each and every one of our students.

CELT is establishing a new local tier governance model that is inclusive, transparent and community informed. The intended impact is to lead to:

• Stronger partnerships with learners, families/carers, staff and local organisations, enhancing support for students.
• Increased parental/carer and community engagement in school life and decision-making.
• A culture of active listening and responsiveness to community needs and aspirations.

Our ‘local tier’ of CELT Community Champions will be represented through:

• Pupil champion
• Parent and Carer champion
• Staff champion
• Community and Civic champion
• Inclusion and SEND champion
• Safeguarding champion
• Sustainability champion

 

Our Community Champions will draw on expert local knowledge and insight to understand what matters most to learners, parents, carers, staff and the wider community. They will actively challenge assumptions and help ensure that the school is explicitly rooted in its community context to support in improving attendance, engagement and outcomes.
