Student Voices Heard in New Catering Contract

Thank you to Student MPs Jabez and Nancy in Year 8 who headed to Newquay today!

They were representing the collective voice of students as part of the Trust’s new catering contract tender process.

Each Year 8 tutor group recently held discussions with their Student Parliament representatives about what they like and dislike about the existing catering provision, and what positive changes could be achieved in the creation of a new contract.

Once at Newquay, Jabez and Nancy attended presentations from each potential supplier, asking them questions based on their year group’s discussions, as well as tasting plenty of dreamy free samples! Their questions today could play a pivotal role in which provider gets selected!

The new format of our Student Parliament is playing a key role in helping us value every voice at Penrice. Stay tuned for more updates regarding other Student Parliament discussion topics that will be announced in the near future.
