Year 7 PE

Students will experience a wide range of sporting activities. They will develop specific skills and gain knowledge of rules and regulations. Students will develop tactical awareness for the traditional team games along with creative skills in individual based activities. The backbone to all lessons will be the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle and supporting students in doing so.

Year 8 PE

Students will expand on the basic skills and knowledge gained in year 7. Some new practical activities will be introduced. Students will look at the short and long term effects of exercise on their body. They will understand the effects of nutrition and rest on performance and how to set SMART targets to help improve performance.
