Students Shine at Open Events

Senior Penrice students have been busy showcasing the academy this side of half term as we opened our doors to welcome over 450 families for guided tours.

Year 11 prefects acted as outstanding role models and tour guides during our two open evenings on Thursday 23 September 2021 and Tuesday 28 September 2021. The school was a hive of activity with dissection in science, song rehearsals for Mary Poppins in drama, Mars Rover Robots in Computer Science, earthquakes in Geography and so much more!

A special thank you must also go to our Year 10 students who have contributed massively over the past 2 weeks, greeting approximately 175 families during daytime tours, allowing prospective Year 6 students to see the school in action!

The positive atmosphere around the campus has been tangible and the tours simply would not have been possible without the impeccable and welcoming attitude of our student volunteers.

Visitor Feedback

“We loved the tour of the school, it was very impressive. The prefects were amazing guides. My son can’t wait to come in September.”

“10/10 from my daughter. We were very impressed. The prefects were lovely and very patient”

“We would just like to say a huge ‘Thank you’ to your team and your pupils for putting on such a fantastic Open Evening Event last night. We were shown around by two lovely Year 11 girls. They were very friendly and engaging. Our daughter came away from the Open Evening in no doubt that Penrice is the secondary school for her!”

Well done to all involved.
