Year 8 Enjoy St Ives Art Trip

Last week, our Year 8 students really channelled their inner artists as they travelled down to St Ives on an Arts field trip, visiting The Tate Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum, all before partaking in an art workshop with the Salvation Army.

It was so wonderful to take our Year 8’s on an Art Trip to St. Ives. They had a very busy day immersed in the world of Art! This was a truly fantastic opportunity to enrich their Art knowledge, where they spent the day learning about the iconic St. Ives artists. Students particularly enjoyed a workshop with the Salvation Army, creating collages inspired by the artists Terry Frost, Patrick Heron and Wilhelmina Barns-Graham.

A big thank you to the teachers at Penrice who have gone the extra mile to offer these memorable school moments and enriched learning opportunities for our students.
