Spring Celebration This week saw our termly Celebration Assemblies jam-packed with awards, special mentions and applause for the things our students have achieved this term – from merits and Midsummer to music, sports and trips. It was also an opportunity to celebrate those students who are on 100% for their attendance throughout this term. Mrs Cromey told Year 7 in their assembly: “There are no years in the school who are doing as good when it comes to attendance. You’re two thirds of the way through Year 7 – you have done absolutely amazing!” Among the academic and extracurricular achievements, Monday’s Year 7 Celebration Assembly featured Mrs Cromey’s Random Acts of Kindness Award – where 89 students had been nominated by their peers for a difference they’ve made through kindness at some point this term. ‘Kindness’ was a theme throughout the week, with tutors also nominating many Star Students for their kindness and attitude towards their peers. The week was also an opportunity for students to receive Duke of Edinburgh Certificates, certificates in Sport, entertain their year and for Year 11 to draw from their Raffle. Congratulations to everyone involved in the celebration.
