Sports Report: 17/05/2018

Last week was all about athletics. After a few weeks of training our students went off to Carne Brea track for the Track and Field Cup competition, with both our boys’ and girls’ teams eager to show what Penrice athletes have to offer! Athletics is a great sport to get into and Penrice is oozing with incredible athletes who can go far in the athletics scene.

Both teams did extremely well and had a fantastic day out of school – for some it was their first experience of a competition like this.

The junior boys worked really well and won their competition, while the inter boys came 4th which was also a fantastic result. Our girls did very well with our junior girls coming 2nd and the inter girls coming in at 8th.

Penrice came in the top 10 for all their competitions so every student who came along should feel very proud of themselves. To see the students totally dedicated to this and the training days is amazing.

A chance to be creative…

The PE department would love to hear more from the students at Penrice. We all have a great passion for sport, but we want to know what sport/PE means to you!

We would love it if you could create a poster. It could be anything from a sport you play outside of school or your PE lessons, anything at all as long as it is positive and fun. With any of the posters that we receive we will put them on display in the PE corridor. If when you have finished your poster give it into the PE office.

A reminder of our Summer Term clubs:
