Review: King Arthur “A mysterious yet wonderful storyline that made you feel like you were living in the story.” Last term some of our MAble students travelled to the Hall for Cornwall to see Michael Morpurgo’s King Arthur. Year 7’s Daisy has written a review on her experience. This thrilling story, King Arthur, was beautifully performed at the Hall for Cornwall. It was a mysterious yet wonderful storyline that made you feel like you were living in the story. To begin with, it was about an adventurous boy who had wondered into a cave where he met the real King Arthur. With his love of explaining his life’s story, Arthur began to tell it all. It made us, the watching audience, feel joyous and left wanting to see more. Although you may have felt you knew what was coming next, your expectation was twisted, making it even more exciting! Through his story, Arthur began to explain how he was crowned King when he was a regular person. It all happened when Arthur was the one who was able to take the sword out of the stone. He didn’t realise it himself but, by being the chosen one, he was able to remove the sword and was soon to be King. The actors were able to portray how Arthur, a regular person, was the man who deserved it; kind, friendly and responsible. In this story, there were sad parts making you feel sorry for the characters, but then there were uplifting parts making you feel happy for them all! It was quite an emotional roller coaster from beginning to end. Each part was truly great; making the performance one you would recommend and want to watch again Daisy, Year 7
