Pupils Take On Rainbow Run Challenge for Children’s Hospice South West Throughout last week, students across all year groups took part in the Children’s Hospice South West’s Rainbow Run challenge during their PE lessons. The event was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by all that embraced the challenge. There was a real community spirit and a sea of rainbow colours running around our 1-mile circular route. Clare Razzell, PE Teacher and Head of Year 10, would like to say a massive heartfelt thank you to each and every student that took part with a positive, smiley face. Super proud as always to be part of TEAM Penrice! On Friday, for the final day of the Rainbow Runs, Kiley Pearce and Bernadette Chambers visited us from Cornwall Hospice South West who officially started each Rainbow Run. The big reveal with regards to miles covered and money raised will be announced in the near future. Thank you to the entire Penrice Academy community for supporting this challenge. ***FUNDRAISING UPDATE*** We’ve done the maths and can confirm that Team Penrice have raised an incredible £1153.22 plus 4,500km towards CHSW’s 30,000km target! Thank you for your support.
