Easing Congestion on Charlestown Road

We would like to ask parents and carers to assist in keeping our students safe on Charlestown Road during the 3pm after school pick up.

Where possible, we ask parents and carers to arrange to collect children from a little further along from the school, rather than stopping directly outside the gates.

Safety of our students and other road users and pedestrians is paramount.

This particular time of day sees the car park and the road directly opposite the school getting incredibly busy and your help in easing congestion between 3pm and 3.30pm would be greatly appreciated.

St Austell Foodbank – Providing emergency food to people in crisis.

Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food makes a big difference, with foodbanks helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems.

St Austell Foodbank is located at :

The Light & Life Centre,
Units 4-5 Brunel Business Park,
The Sidings,
St Austell,
PL25 4TJ

Open from 1-3pm on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

If you feel you are struggling to put food on the table, please contact Lynne Gouldsmith, Kirstin Libby or Bev White on the Penrice Pastoral Team. They can issue you with a Foodbank Voucher which can be redeemed for three days’ emergency food. Volunteers meet clients over a warm drink or free hot meal and are able to signpost people to agencies able to solve the longer-term problem.
