Our 24 Hour Activity Challenge – raising funds for the Invictus Trust

The Academy Council selects a local charity to work with ever year and organises several fundraising activities.  This year they have chosen the Invictus Trust, a small charity that aims to support and offer services to local teenagers who are suffering from poor mental health and associated issues.  On 12th  and 13th  December, over 60 students took part in a 24 hours activity sponsored event.  From lunchtime on 12th until lunchtime on 13th , students and supporting staff rowed and danced their way through 24 hours in our main hall.

A lot of aching arms, feet and bodies later our group did a countdown to the end, finishing with Queen’s We Are The Champions.
