Penrice Gears Up for National Apprenticeship Week 2023 #NAW2023 We are getting ready to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2023 (NAW2023) next week, taking place from 6th to 12th February 2023. NAW2023 brings together everyone passionate about apprenticeships to celebrate the value, benefit, and opportunity that apprenticeships bring. Mrs Lorraine Turner, Our Head of Careers, and all tutors will be educating students about apprenticeships during assemblies, activities and tutor workshops. We will also be sharing informative content for both parents and pupils on our various communication channels. This Year’s Focus This year’s National Apprenticeship Week will specifically encourage students to consider and celebrate how technical education can help them develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career with future ready skills. Technical education has been transformed in recent years through programmes such as apprenticeships, T Levels and other skills products. What do we have planned? Mrs Lorraine Turner Careers Lead at Penrice Academy “As part of our National Apprenticeship Week celebrations, we are delighted to welcome some of the region’s apprentice employers into school to talk to students. Teachers will be exploring what sort of apprenticeships are related to their subject areas. Truro College will be showing what their Apprenticeship Team can offer when our Year 11s leave Penrice. We also have a workshop on Tuesday delivered by an apprenticeships expert giving tips to finding and applying for that dream apprenticeship when leaving school at 16, 18 or at any time throughout life! We really value our parents’ support to our students who are keen to go down the apprenticeship pathway. Lots of information for parents can be found on the Penrice website’s Apprenticeships page.” Learn more Further information and resources can be found on the apprenticeships page of the Penrice website below: Learn more about Apprenticeships More Recent Penrice News… Year 9 Experience Spooks and Scares at Bodmin Jail Full Story Year 11 History Students Immerse Themselves in WW1 Medicine Workshop Full Story Performing Arts – Autumn Term 2022 Round-Up Full Story
