Miss England Visits Penrice to Promote CPR On Friday, we welcomed a celebrity visitor into Penrice as Miss England (Milla Magee) spoke to our Year 7s in an assembly, building upon the year group’s learning in Mini Medics. Based in Newquay, Milla was crowned Miss England in May and is the founder of a project called #GOFARWITHCPR. Upon hearing of her campaign, Mrs McGrath (our First Aid Coordinator) was keen to get Milla to visit our students who have just completed their own basic first aid training. Miss England spoke to students about her backstory and how first aid has impacted her life. Of course, with such a famous visitor at school, each tutor group were eager to feature in a photo with Milla! Mrs McGrath First Aid Coordinator at Penrice Academy “Miss Magee wanted to congratulate our students and tell them how proud she was of them and of Penrice for taking on Mini Medics. The programme has been running since 2017, totalling 3,300 students now trained The willingness to learn and the engagement from our students during the Mini Medic sessions is outstanding, I am immensely proud of them all.” Where Next?
