Medical Mentoring Programme to Launch in September

We are delighted to announce that we will be launching a Medical Mentoring Programme, starting in September 2024.

Interested students attended an introductory talk in the Assembly Hall yesterday (22nd May 2024) to learn more about the offering.

The programme will increase awareness of what it takes to study Medicine and Healthcare subjects through fun, inspiring and interactive teaching focused on medicine, health and science. There will be a range of opportunities that provide advice, hands-on experience and practical exercises, allowing Penrice students to gain detailed insight into possible future careers in the sector.

Mrs Stevenson
Careers Curriculum Lead at Penrice Academy

“This programme will offer students unique opportunities to engage with the medical field through hands-on experiences, expert mentorship, and a dynamic curriculum. We believe this initiative will not only enhance their academic journey but also ignite a lifelong passion for healthcare!

We are excited to see the positive impact this programme will have on nurturing future healthcare professionals, and we look forward to continued collaboration.”

An ENORMOUS early thank you to Peninsula Medical School (The University of Plymouth), Brighton and Sussex Medical School, and The Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust who are already working with us to create this programme.

Further information will follow in September when we officially launch the programme.
