Letter from Downing Street!

With the talk of referendum all around the country, this term 9AH researched the pros and cons of leaving the European Union.

They then voted in class, with the result 16 to 4 to stay in.

Following the vote, Mrs Hague emailed Prime Minister David Cameron to let him know that Penrice Academy had voted and his Office responded to say they were very interested in the result – and that they were passing on the information to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office!

“The Prime Minister has asked me to thank you for your email and for forwarding the views of your students.. and to pass on his thanks to you and your students for taking the time to write about this very important issue.” (The Direct Communications Unit, Downing Street)
