Green Team Supporting Make Space for BEES Project

The Penrice Plus Green Team have been supporting the Make Space for BEES collaborative project in conjunction with the University of Plymouth and Pollenize.

The initiative is funded by the AHRC Design Exchange Partnership (DEP) and tackles biodiversity loss by empowering young people to create pollinator havens in their schools.

There are currently six schools taking part across Cornwall and we are thrilled to be able to take part in this citizen science project, collecting real data which will be contributing to the most recent research on pollinators in Cornwall.

Students have already been co-designing tools and solutions to directly improve the school grounds. This hands-on experience will give them the agency to make a real difference in the ‘green transition’, meaning the shift towards a more sustainable future.

The link below shows our live tracking of the project on the Penrice specific page.
