Penrice Grateful for Cost of Living Support A huge thank you to Morrisons and DISC Newquay for supporting Penrice families who may be struggling during the current cost of living crisis. Morrisons Newquay and Morrisons Bodmin have been supplying us with food parcels throughout this term. Morrisons customers who purchased pre-packed bags during their shops have made a huge difference to families in need. Penrice Staff with Morrisons food donations “The UK’s food banks are a lifeline for the most vulnerable in our communities and these parcels are an easy way to donate to them. At Morrisons, we want to play our full part in feeding the nation and ensure nobody gets left behind.” In an exciting recent development, DISC Newquay are now also working with us, providing 200 Christmas food hampers to ensure that every Penrice family can enjoy the festive period they deserve. DISC Newquay recently received the King’s Award for Voluntary Service and we are extremely privileged to be working with them! Mrs Sobye and Mrs Kevill with Monique Collins from DISC Newquay Monique Collins, DISC Chairperson, said: “I am delighted to work in partnership with your school to ensure that our most vulnerable families in Cornwall don’t go without a basic meal and some treats at Christmas and that we can continue to support you in the new year.” More information regarding the 200 Christmas food hampers will be communicated soon to families, including how to request one.
