We would like to welcome you into school on Thursday 2nd May 2024 to attend our Year 8 Options Evening Launch (advanced registration required). This is a wonderful opportunity for you to visit Penrice, find out more details about the options process and discover more about what the next three years will look like for your child. Year 8 Options is a key landmark for your child and it is important that you are as informed as possible to support them through the process.

The evening will begin in the Hall with a 20-minute presentation from Ms Coleman. In the second part of the evening, there will be time for you to visit the different option areas of interest, meet the subject teachers and explore the nature of the courses and the resources available.

The 2nd May represents the launch of this process and there are a number of other important dates which can be found on our Year 8 Options page.

Timings & Registration

Please register for one of the following sessions via TryBooking.com:

  • Session 1 – 4:30pm Presentation Start Time. Presentation finishes at 4:50pm and you will then have time to visit subject teachers.
  • Session 2 – 5:30pm Presentation Start Time. Presentation finishes at 5:50pm and you will then have time to visit subject teachers.

We kindly ask that you walk to Penrice Academy if you live nearby and are able to do so. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

For those who are driving, please following the below instructions:
Session 1 – The front car park and Charlestown Road are likely to be busy with Penrice Plus pickups and our Late Buses which we continue to trial. Attendees for Session 1 are therefore asked to access the Penrice site through the side gate (overflow car park).
Session 2 – Please use the regular (front) car park.

Our Site Team car park attendants will be present to help direct traffic.
