Enrichment

School is a life experience. Students spend 7 hours a day, 5 days a week – 190 days of the year – with us, so we want them to leave with life-long memories and stories!

Endless Opportunities

Pupils at Penrice benefit from endless opportunities with an extra-curricular life like no other. From Coding to Crochet, Drama to Duke of Edinburgh, and Sports to Street Art, Penrice pupils can immerse themselves in all that school life has to offer, finding new interests and forging new friendships along the way. We also have an on-site farm with around 20 animals ranging from pigs, rabbits, a miniature Shetland Pony and even a Bearded Dragon! All of these extra-curricular opportunities come under the name of Penrice Plus, with a new list of activities made available at the start of each term.

Ending the Academic Year in Style

In addition to Penrice Plus, every year we also run Curriculum Enrichment Week (CEW). CEW is our last week of the summer term – and we like to send our pupils into the summer holiday in style!! During CEW, the normal timetable is scrapped for Years 7 to 9 and pupils embark on a week of doing their chosen activity with the aim of developing character, having fun and, most of all, making school memories that will last a lifetime. In the past, CEW has included overseas trips, however, due to Covid, we are currently offering UK-based trips to those students who wish to escape the county!
