If you have any queries then please feel free to email Mrs Yeo (CEW Coordinator)

What’s it all about?

Curriculum Enrichment Week (CEW) is designed to give students the opportunity to learn outside the traditional classroom setting and to try something new or develop your skills in an activity or subject area in which they have an existing interest.

CEW runs in the final week prior of the summer term from 17th to 21st July 2017 and is an exciting opportunity for all students in Years 7, 8 and 9 to participate in a range of activities outside the traditional classroom setting. All students in Year 7, 8 and 9 (except Year 8 & 9 students who are already signed up to the residential trips) must sign up for a CEW activity.

Trips Abroad

For Curriculum Enrichment Week 2017, children presently in Year 7 and Year 8 will have the option to sign up for one of the residential or foreign trips running during the last week of July 2017. These trips are an amazing opportunity to spend a week away from home, experience a range of new activities and / or cultures and most importantly to have fun and make great memories.

There are a range of trips running, including adventurous activity weeks in Devon or Les Orres in the south of France and cultural trips to London, Paris, and Barcelona.

Please download the CEW 2017 brochure in order to see the options available to your child and for information on how to secure them a place. Please note that your child does not have to choose one of these residential or foreign trips for CEW 2017, as there will be a range of activities being run in school which they will be able to choose from next year. You can read examples of our in school activities for CEW 2016 here.

If you wish to secure your child a place, all deposits must be paid via our new cashless system Parentpay by Wednesday 20 July 2016.

All places on the trips are limited number and allocated on a first come, first served basis. You will have received details of your Parentpay username and password in the past few weeks. If you have any issues with this then please feel free to contact the Finance Office at Penrice Academy.
