A fun, celebratory evening to thank Year 7's for their hard work and great start to school life at Penrice Academy.

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are pleased to inform you that we will be holding a Year 7 Disco on Thursday, 2nd April, running from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. This will be a great opportunity for our Year 7 students to socialise, have fun, and celebrate the end of what has been a fabulous term.

During the event, pupils will have access to a breakout room if they would like a quieter space at any time. There will also be designated times during the evening when the lighting in the disco will be reduced and strobe lights will not be used to support those with sensory needs and medical conditions. 

Students may wish to bring cash if they would like to purchase sweets and drinks throughout the evening - there will be no card payment facilities at all. We advise bringing smaller change as we cannot guarantee change for large notes. Prices will be kept low to ensure all pupils can enjoy the treats on offer if desired.

As always, we expect pupils to uphold our school’s high standards of behaviour, showing kindness, respect, and responsibility at all times. Staff will be present to supervise and ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, as well as older students acting as ambassadors for the evening. 

Upon arrival, students can enter through the main reception to sign in and then will be directed to the sports hall for the disco. When you arrive to collect your children, we will be dismissing them from the canteen and so you can remain in the car park and staff will facilitate them coming out to you. We would request that all children are collected due to it being in the evening, however if you would like your child to walk home on their own, please inform us of this in advance.
