Baking Bread with Chartwells

On Thursday 5th May, a group of our most enthusiastic and talented Year 7 Catering students took part in a Bread Skills workshop led by Paul Martin, the Head Chef for Chartwells, who provide the school meals at Penrice.

Mrs Knowles said: “The students worked in teams to produce a range of shaped bread rolls and the results were fantastic. I was extremely impressed with the enthusiastic and professional attitude of these Year 7 students who produced high level dishes with confidence and flair. It was a great opportunity for our young and aspiring chefs and I really look forward to what they have in store for the future!”
