2025 School Production Announced

Hot off the back of Oliver JR in 2024, the next Penrice School production will be (drum roll)… … … Rock of Ages (Teen Edition)!

Students attended the first Penrice Plus sessions earlier in September and have begun familiarising themselves with the storyline and featured tracks. The Set and Prop Design Team have also launched into action.

The provisional show dates are 1st, 2nd and 3rd April 2025 – so do pencil this in your calendar and stay tuned for further updates nearer the time!

This year we wanted to do something a bit different! We have, over the last few years, performed musicals that focus on the lives of children (Oliver and Matilda). We felt that Rock of Ages gave our cast the opportunity to tackle something a bit different. The show is fast-paced, comic and totally different from the traditional musical route. It is also full of amazing songs that we are having a great time rocking out to!

When April comes around, attendees can expect two hours of energy, laughs and a return to a time of big hair, big personalities and shoulder pads! Rock of Ages is a jukebox musical which means the storyline was created around songs that already exist. There are some great songs including – Come On Feel the Noize, The Final Countdown and Don’t Stop Believing.
