Wizard of Oz: Rehearsals Continue

This year’s production of the Wizard of Oz is a classic take on the popular children’s story, which promises to be ‘full of colourful costumes and fabulous music.’

Described by Mr Tew – who is directing the performance alongside Miss Nance and Miss Tellam – as “a piece which combines high quality drama, natural singing ability and the personalities of some incredibly talented students…”, the Wizard of Oz tells of the adventure of Dorothy, a young girl who finds herself swept away in a storm to the Land of Oz.

Mr Tew said: “It’s coming along really well. Every scene has been blocked out so now it’s just a case of running through the show – we also have a matinee and dress rehearsals planned. It’s going to be big.”

“I’m incredibly proud of the cast and crew and the efforts that they are going to. This show is going to be superb and tickets are already selling very well. Tickets are sure to sell out so make sure you get yours for what is going to be the big event of the Penrice calendar this year. I can’t wait!” (Mr Jones)
