Wizard of Oz: Interview with Scarecrow

Liam from Year 8 landed the role of Scarecrow for this year’s play. Described as ‘hilarious’ by the Drama team, Liam is tackling the task singlehandedly, calling it ‘great experience’ for his future career….

What’s it like being Scarecrow?

What part of the three nights of performances are you most excited about?

Having my parents see it – I think they’ll love it! And just performing in front of a crowd really, it’s such good experience for the future and I really enjoy the feeling of being on stage.”

Are there any particular roles or parts you would like to play in the future?

“I’d love to, of course, play some more main parts. I could be a good guy playing the friend to someone as a supporting role, I can see myself doing that. I love the idea of playing villains! That’s exciting. So we’ll see…”
