Welcome Days 2016

On Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th July 2016 we welcomed our future Year 7s for two days of activities, giving them a chance to meet their teachers, explore the school and make new friends.

The students, from primary schools across St Austell, took part in artistic, cooking and design tasks in the Art Block and Technology Corridor and tasted secondary life in English, Maths and Science.

Tuesday afternoon saw a sea of colour in the hall as they came together for their second ever assembly. When asked to put their hands up if they’d learnt new things and made new friends, there was barely space in the air.

“These students have been brilliant. Not only have they enjoyed themselves but we have had a fantastic experience with them. The year group have made the very best first impressions and are keen to be the very best Penrice has ever seen! We really look forward to seeing them all again in September.” (Mrs Taylor)

Big thank you to our new Prefect Team who spent the two days sharing advice and time with the visiting students to help make it the best experience possible.
