Ride for South Africa!

24 hours, 1000 miles non stop… over £2000 raised for Siphila Sonke.

On Thursday 30th June and Friday 1st July, Penrice Academy students took part in their 24 hour fundraiser – rowing, riding and running the coast of South Africa.

“These guys have just rode for 1000 miles from Cape Town to the site of Nelson Mandela’s capture, with grit, determination and a real pride for exactly what they were trying to achieve. They should be so proud of themselves.” (Mr Thomas)

Big thank you to all the students and staff who took part. Well done to Finlay and Alec from 7IW who did a great job supporting the charity through a Bake Sale over lunch time on Thursday.

You can see more pictures from the event – taken by Student Photographers Jamie, Ethan and Jake – in our Gallery.
