Penrice Academy Open Day 2016

On Thursday 22nd September we welcomed young people from around Cornwall to experience Penrice Academy in action.

During the day, local primary students spoke French, observed the weather system, explored wartime foods in the kitchen, built digital worlds using computers and even learnt how to summon ‘cursed fire’ in science.

The evening saw even more children join us to make their own ewoks in art, simulate earthquakes in geography, take part in maths puzzles, enjoy live music from our musicians, explore an air raid shelter in history and marvel at exploding jelly babies in science. Thanks to our exceptional Prefects for their work as tour guides, ambassadors and friends to our visiting students.

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome some fantastic young people to our school – thank you to everyone for coming along and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
