Open Day at the SFC

On Thursday 21st April, the Student & Family Centre held an ‘open day’ for students across the school to pop in and talk to the staff about what they do – while celebrating the Queen’s Birthday.

Students spent break and lunch being arty with cake decorating and drawing, as well as ball games and Twister on the lawn.

Mrs Edgington said: “Along with the Queen’s 90th Birthday, today we are celebrating the success of the Student & Family Centre.  We want to remind students about who we are, what we do, and why we do it.”

The Student & Family Centre supports students with all kinds of things, ranging from problems with attendance, organization and homework to stress, anger management, self-esteem and friendship issues, or just being there for a chat.

Mrs Edgington continued: “Today was also about having fun and there were some brilliant cakes on display! Thank you to everyone who came by.”
