Micro/Macro Eden Project

Before the Christmas break, Penrice Academy students who had taken part in Eden’s Micro/Macro Worlds project attended the Opening Evening of the exhibition displaying their finished artwork.

Mr Kennedy explains: “The project was to create artwork around the scientific concepts of the Macro and Micro world on our planet. Students worked incredibly hard for the duration of the autumn term, giving their own spare time to develop and create their amazing pieces of artwork. They attended a Science workshop at Eden and had a professional artist deliver a workshop at school, as a starting point for their ideas.

“This culminated in the exhibition opening last Friday which was well attended and received by parents from all the schools involved – Penrice, Fowey and Bodmin – who commented on the quality of the work produced.  It was wonderful to see the students’ work presented at such a prestigious venue.”

The work will be displayed until at least March 2016 in The Core building at the Eden Project alongside the Macro/Micro Exhibition so be sure to have a look if you’re there!
