Environment and Sustainability Day

On Wednesday 16 March, Exeter University invited Mr Buse, Mr Round and 10 Year 10 students to an Environment and Sustainability Day at the University of Exeter’s Environment and Sustainability Institute (ESI) at the Penryn Campus.

As well as touring the ESI and viewing the laboratories and research areas up close, students had chance to engage in interactive activities based around the research themes of the Institute. Three specially designed workshops focused on subjects including Clean Technologies, the Natural Environment, and Social Science and Sustainability.

Mr Buse, Geography Teacher, said: “It was a fantastic opportunity to engage students with a strong interest in Biology, Geography, or Mathematics. The sessions were delivered by world leading academics and researchers, so it was a very special day and provided students not only with insight into studying at degree level, but also into life at university.”

“Our very own Jake Davies stood in front of 100 other students to present his ideas of sea level rise on the Cornish coast. Well done all!!”
